That's because he's a what i call "be prolific as you are on the come up and then die prematurely" character just like tupac. It doesn't change the fact that he gained little to no recognition.
However even when he was alive doing interviews and what not. This led me to believe that nipsey was probably signed to Atlantic records before the fame and this is what he needed to do in order to become an a-list hollyweird celebrity.
